Every season, celebration and holiday for approximately 14 years I watched my mom bring faux flowers arrangements to my father’s gravesite to honor his memory. He passed in 2002. Every season, celebration and holiday, for the past 4 years, I have been honoring both my parents with faux flower bouquet arrangements. She passed in 2016. What started as an obligation (who else would bring flowers to my parents if I didn’t?) has blossomed into so much more. I discarded the old fashioned, tacky, fake flowers, added what I learned from watching my mom over the years, and designed my own up-to-date modern bouquets. These are custom bouquets that I know my parents (ehem let’s be honest my mom) would love. And knowing my mom would love them made me happy. Who would have thought something as simple as faux floral bouquets would be my niche? I want to share my passion and help others honor their loved ones.
Everything was on track moving along just perfectly. I found partners who loved my idea, found value in what we could offer, and the best part - they were just as excited as I was to get started. But then March 2020 hit. Covid-19 was here and not going away anytime soon. There were stay at home orders. Stores were closing their doors. Our supply was halted and so was our new business. After a few weeks, we decided to be a wildflower in a field of roses. (Although roses are very pretty and one of my favorite flowers) We decided to design other products. Staying true to our floral passion we now offer crafts with floral themes. As of July 2020 The Bloom Stop released our faux bouquet line and wood craft line with more to come. This is just the beginning and we can’t wait to show you what we can do!
